Biscuitville FRESH SOUTHERN, a local family-owned restaurant widely known for its authentic, southern-style breakfasts, opened a new restaurant today at 5988 University Parkway in Winston-Salem across from North Summit Square Shopping Center. The new restaurant features an interior and exterior design that showcases Biscuitville’s FRESH SOUTHERN brand.

New Restaurant Design Features Additional Amenities

“We’re looking forward to meeting new friends in the northern Winston-Salem and Rural Hall area and hope they will soon feel at home at our newest location,” Biscuitville President Kathie Niven said. “We’re incredibly thankful for the warm welcome we have received in Winston-Salem during construction and look forward to becoming part of the fabric of the community.”

“Our new Winston-Salem location features the best of what our guests have always loved about Biscuitville and offers a fresh, new look with additional amenities. Our new design was carefully crafted to be warm and welcoming, which provides a comfortable, family friendly dining experience,” Niven said. “In addition to our new restaurant on University Parkway and one that we opened in Walkertown last November, we have remodeled dozens of other Biscuitville locations during the last two years as part of an exciting growth phase for our company that also includes a number of new menu items. All of our new restaurants, the remodeled locations, and new menu items are being built on Biscuitville’s foundation of serving fresh, locally sourced, scratch-made food.”

As part of the new restaurant design, Niven said that Biscuitville has also updated and expanded its biscuit window, which allows guests to view the biscuit-making process. This feature is so iconic to Biscuitville’s brand, the company proudly posts Home of the Biscuit Window Since 1966™ in front of its biscuit makers. The new restaurant design opens up the front counter areas to create better views of the kitchen and encourages interaction between team members and guests.

Other highlights of the new Biscuitville on University Parkway include:

·         Exterior features resembling a reclaimed southern barn, with a tin roof, barn doors and gooseneck lights

·         An enhanced beverage area with expanded drink options, including Salisbury-based Cheerwine®
