The third annual Asheville Film Festival will return to Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College (A-B Tech) campus Sat., Sept. 8.

Ron Cooper, Festival Director said, “We are dedicated to promoting the independent filmmaker; letting them express themselves completely, encouraging risk taking and finding their own unique voice.”

Filmmaker Susin Daly noted the congenial atmosphere of the city and the college campus, “Very friendly festival and being in Asheville is a plus.”

AFF is a proponent of local film-artists striving to make their mark in this creative field.

“We attract filmmakers from around the world,” said Cooper. “We bring the best to Asheville. Of the nearly 400 submissions, a significant number came from this area.”
