Join Poet.She at the First Friday Youth Poetry Slam that will be held Friday, May 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Greensboro Children’s Museum located at 220 North Church Street, Greensboro, N.C. Youth ages 9-16 are encouraged to compete in three rounds of poetry to win bragging rights to earn the title of Greensboro Youth Poet champion. Greensboro is one of eleven cities in the United States and Canada to host workshops this summer. Children in the demonstration class will experience songs, explore movement and listening activities taught by an early childhood music specialist; all as part of a teacher training demonstration class.
