FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the 3011 High Point Road restaurant in Greensboro, N.C., on April 21, 2012, to benefit Dudley HighnSchool. From 7:30 – 10 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the Dudley High School. Built in 1929, Dudley High School is one of the oldest historically all-black high schools still serving students. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to pay for caps and gowns and help offset senior expenses for students.nTickets for Short Stacks for Big Change, a pancake breakfast fundraiser, are $8 and can be purchased by contacting Ms. Paylor at Paylord2@gcsnc.com. All attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for Dudley High School.

A new display at the Greensboro Historical Museum illustrates that there have been at least eighteen U.S. Presidents who have stopped in the Gate City. The display, consisting of large banners and photographs, is a prelude to a larger museum exhibit which will open on the Museum's second level on August 23, 2012. While at the Museum, visitors will have a chance to vote on which visiting president they would most like to take to lunch.

The Greensboro Historical Museum is honored to present an exhibition from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. "Fighting the Fires of Hate: America and the Nazi Book Burnings." The museum invites you to explore the exhibition on display from June 21 to August 12, 2012 in the second floor changing gallery of the downtown Greensboro Historical Museum. The exhibition provides a vivid look at the first steps the Nazis took to suppress freedom of expression, and the strong response that occurred in the United States both immediately and in the years thereafter. The exhibition focuses on how the book burnings became a potent symbol during World War II in America's battle against Nazism, and concludes by examining their continued impact on our public discourse.
