Four-time Grammy Award Winning American tenor Anthony Dean Griffey has captured critical and popular acclaim on opera, concert, and recital stages around the world. The combination of his beautiful and powerful lyric tenor voice, his gift of dramatic interpretation, and his superb musicianship have earned him the highest praise from critics and audiences alike. He has performed leading roles at the great international opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Glyndebourne, the Opera National de Paris, and the Teatro Comunale di Firenze. He is a regular guest of the world’s orchestras and has collaborated with many of today’s pre-eminent conductors. A native of High Point, Griffey holds degrees from Wingate University, the Eastman School of Music, The Juilliard School, and was a member of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artists Program. He is also Professor of the Practice at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Warren Jones frequently performs with many of today’s best known artists. These collaborations have earned consistently high praise from many publications. For example, The San Francisco Chronicle calls him the “single finest accompanist now working.” He has performed at many festivals and in famous venues all over the world. Some of his numerous recordings have received nominations for Grammy Awards. Currently a member of the Manhattan School of Music in New York, he teaches and performs at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, in the summer. Recently he was honored with the Outstanding Alumni Award from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, from which he graduated with honors.
