Greensboro police responded to a call of a gunshot victim around 11 p.m. on Sept. 10 at Moses Cone hospital. Upon the officers arrival, the victim informed them that three black males entered his apartment in the 1400 block of Perkins Stree

Employees at the Fairway One Stop on Randleman Road in Greensboro told police that an Asian man pushed aside the clerk and grabbed money out of the till before fleeing in a four-door, silver Ford Taurus that was occupied by a heavyset black man and heavyset black woman.

SUNTRUST BANK ON SUMMIT AVE ROBBED Police responded to a robbery call at Suntrust Bank on Summit Avenue in Greensboro at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The unarmed suspect, described as an older man, was unarmed, and escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He fled in an unknown direction and police do not have a suspect yet.

Greensboro police responding to a 911 call at a house on Ogden Street at 2 p.m. on Aug. 16 found 18-year-old Darryl Lamont Parker Jr. suffering from a stab wound in the chest.

Greensboro police officers went to Cookout on Summit Avenue just before 4 a.m. on Sunday morning based on information received about a possible shooting victim. They could not locate any injured persons at the scene, but were received a description of a suspect vehicle.

The department announced that Joshua Paul Eanes pledged guilty to 95 counts of graffiti on Aug.

Greensboro police served two arrest warrants on 36-year-old Randolph Belle Jr. at 8:15 p.m. on July 26 for felony death by motor vehicle and for careless and reckless driving. Belle had been driving a 2007 Ford Focus on Interstate 40 near US Highway 29 at 12:32 a.

Greensboro police reported that Chastain Dickens was shot in the leg while standing at the 900 block of Sullivan Street on July 20. Dickens told police that the suspect was a short, black man who fled in gold four-door vehicle. Dickens injuries are non-life threatening and the investigation is ongoing.

The night clerk at a Best Western on Northern Service Road in Greensboro told police that when he opened the door for someone asking to use the bathroom not long before 4 a.m. on Monday, someone else wearing a purple-hooded jacket barged in with a handgun.

Greensboro police have apprehended two suspects, Jeremmy Shields and Monique Fox, who are believed to be involved in a burglary on July 8. Phyliber Clarkson told police that Shields and two others forced their way into his Lees Chapel Road residence and took property from him while brandishing a handgun.

When a suspect approached Sade Meadows car on Sunday in the parking lot at Jakes Diner around 3:30 a.m. with a gun, they probably didnt expect her to grab it from them. Meadows took the gun from them before realizing it was a BB gun and dropping it. The suspect escaped, though probably not without embarrassment.

Danville police arrested Anthony Rashad Edmonds, 23, one of two suspects wanted for the murder of a girl outside of a Greensboro nightclub. Edmonds and Antoine Lamont Walden, the second suspect who has not been found, are accused of murdering Lacqueon Abrilla Gregory, who was shot and killed at Plush NightLife on High Point Road on Nov.

Daniel Roy Smith of Winston-Salem was sentenced on June 14 for attempted murder of officer Guilford Sheriff Mcpl. JW Mecham on Aug. 29, 2009. On June 15 the department released a video of the incident. Smith was sentenced for 313-385 months in state prison, which will be served after a federal prison sentence.

Greensboro police are urging citizens to take preventative measures to keep their metals from being stolen by crafty thieves. According to police, copper, aluminum, stainless steel and scrap iron have been the more desirable metals and thieves will go to great lengths to steal these metals and trade them in for cash at metal recycling companies.

Greensboro police will be enforcing a zerotolerance policy in school zones through Friday, the last week of this school year. Using marked and unmarked cars, police will specifically be looking for speeding and seat belt violations as part of Operation School Watch.

Greensboro police reported that a man and a woman were victims of a murder-suicide that took place on Josephine Circle on May 27. Police indicated that Christina Marie Maxa-Gross, 33, was shot and killed by Noah Adams, 32, who later turned the gun on himself.

After receiving a tip, Guilford County sheriffs deputies found two stolen English bulldog puppies on Village Road on May 12. The puppies were missing from Surry County along with two others that were located through further investigation. Warrants have been issued for 19-year olds Richard Blake Flores of Oak Ridge and Tyler Shaye Jones of Whitsett.

Anthony Lyons was held at gunpoint and robbed while at Creek Crossing Apartments off Creek Ridge Road on May 15. According to Greensboro police, Lyons was meeting an unknown female when he was approached by a masked gunman from behind. As the gunman demanded Lyons possessions, the woman climbed into the victims vehicle.

Greensboro police reported that Jimmy Washington was a victim of an assault and burglary while at his Autumn Drive home on Monday. Washington woke up to find two suspects assaulting him and ransacking his bedroom. The two men had gained entry by forcing open the front door.
