Greensboro police arrested 22-year-old Dwan Ahkeem Thompson in March after a foot chase following a crime alert by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office about a residential burglary earlier in the day.

A victim of undisclosed identity and gender was in the back of an apartment on Sails Way in Greensboro early in the afternoon of March 28. When the victim entered the living room a black boy was seen trying to remove electrical equipment. The victim confronted the intruder, and he fled the area.

Greensboro police have arrested nine suspects in a string of robberies of internet sweepstakes businesses. Zebedee Brown, 25, Gary Lamont Smith, 19, and Tamarquis Tashea Merritt, 19, have been charged with robbery with a firearm and other dangerous weapons in the Sept.

A suspect walked into Hancock Fabric on High Point Road in Greensboro with a gun and demanded money around 8 p.m. on Feb. 6. The suspect, who wore a bright orange toboggan over his face and was estimated to be around 18 years old, fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Greensboro police reported three robberies of delivery drivers last week. A Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches driver said he mistakenly went to the Campus II Apartments on Spring Garden Street and was confronted in the breezeway by two black men, who stole money and property around midnight on Feb.

A man discovered human remains while walking in the woods near Winston Lake on Jan. 25. Winston-Salem police followed up and located two human skulls and other items that suggested “a ceremonial event.

A passenger in a United Yellow Taxi tried to rob the driver at knifepoint after being picked up on West Vandalia Road around 12:30 a.m. on Monday. The driver stopped the taxi and got out, and when the would-be robber exited too, the driver quickly got back in the taxi and drove away without surrendering any property.

Greensboro police have arrested Vondrelle Xavier Majette, 23, of McLeansville, and Chris Taylor, 36, of Roanoke, Va. in connection with an aggravated assault at the Courtyard by Marriott on West Wendover Avenue. Majette was shot in his lower left leg, according to a police press release, and Taylor took a gunshot to his abdomen.
