Well they are not being sold out of the bed of a truck but rather headlining at Greene Street Club tonight. Also joining them is What Made Milwaukee Famous, Native Sound and Winfield. Don’t worry it’s an all ages show. Their tour is a big one leading them to all the way Florida and back up to Ohio with stops along the way.

The event is a Christian rock festival, although I do not think all the bands are Christian. The weekend features bands like, August Burns Red, Cool Hand Luke, Grits, the Chariot, the Urban Sophisticates, Versa Emerge and So Long Forgotten, just a few of the 30 bands on the slate.

They are headlining College Night at Cooper’s Ale House. If you can’t make this show check out their MySpace for upcoming dates; they play everywhere from Wild Wing Café in Winston-Salem to Ham’s in Chapel Hill. The bass player, Chuck Folds, and vocalist/lead guitar Steve Williard keep themselves busier than any other local band I know of by playing in two other bands: Rubberband and Big Bang Boom. So about any night of the week you can find Chuck and Steve playing in the Triad.

This is a part of the Weatherspoon’s annual Summer Film Series. The movie is based on the journey of Che Guevara and his best friend, Alberto Granado, who rode a motorcycle across South America. It was established to promote and restore interest in traditional dancing, piping, drumming, athletic achievement, music and Gaelic culture, and to establish scholarship funds to assist students from Avery County High School to study at American colleges and universities.
