Firstly, I would doubt that the hundreds of people who are healed each year at the Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center would refer to it as a place of suffering. This was my first visit to the center, and I was surprised by how bright and beautiful it was.

Great job on your recent Upside Down article [April 13, 2011; by Jordan Green]. It is amazing how little has been written about how these foreclosures and distressed real estates sales have effected people in the region..

Just to correct a minor annoyance at this time every year. For all the non-Irish and possibly non-Catholics who celebrate the annual St Patricks Day and all the tavern owners as well, if you must abbreviate the day, it is St. Paddy, with Ds, not St. Patty, with Ts! Paddy is short for Patrick, because Patrick in Irish is Padhraig.

In an ordinance of HUD we went around trying to collect two pages worth of data from as many homeless people that would comply. One result that came back was my dismay and frustration with how many replied, If it doesnt help me directly I don want to take it.
