New fitness center to open in Winston-Salem
The Rush Fitness Complex will open its second location in Winston-Salem on June 1. The Tennessee-based exercise and entertainment chain augments standard exercise facilities with rock-climbing walls, aquatics classes, nutritional guidance and the Tornado Tube, “a massive air-blast chamber designed to cool off heated exercisers.” The fitness center will open at a temporary location at 100 Vinegar Hill Road, and will eventually end up at 159 Jonestown Road with a full staff of about 50 employees. The fitness center already has seven locations in the Triad, including one in downtown Winston-Salem, three in Greensboro, and one each in High Point, Jamestown and Burlington.
