It was a rainy night a few weeks ago when my wife had a brilliant idea for us to head to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner.
Ganache Restaurant & Bakery has won numerous awards for the best desserts in the Triad. In fact, we have visited there just for dessert and a big glass of cold milk many times. The desserts are amazing and the wide glass showcase props the wonderment of sweet goodies up with pride. On this night we had the full dinner in mind and a special treat we ordered as an appetizer was worth a special mention. The jalapeño crab dip ($9) is a three cheese blend with premium lump crab and fresh sliced jalapeños. The mix is fantastic and the crab bustles with sweet seafood flavor. The part that made this item stand out to me was the items to dip. I have seen soft bread, harder bread and maybe some chips. Ganache does it differently — they serve their dip with spinach tortilla chips. They are green, crunchy and very delicious.
