If you’re in to Latin music you may recognize this week’s Page Three model as a singer for the band BACO. Barbara Torres, 23, of Greensboro, sings in the six-piece that she says plays a mix of English covers and Spanish rock. “We play around Greensboro and I have been with them for over two years,” she says. The Winston- Salem based band has been together for more than six. Torres has been in Greensboro for four years and grew up in Boston. “I came here for school,” she says. “I graduated from UNCG with a degree in pre-med and psychology. I’m trying to get into medical school.” When the busy young woman is not singing in area clubs, she teaches full time at Oak Ridge Military Academy. “I teach math and science to students in grades 8-12,” she says. “It’s a lot of fun!”
