• Wednesday: Democratic US Senate candidate Ken Lewis will attend the Wake County Democratic Women’s Candidate Forum at the Clarion Hotel State Capital, located at 320 Hillsborough St. in Raleigh at 6 p.m.

• Thursday: Republican NC House District 57 candidate Jon Hardister will appear at the High Point Republican Women’s Club Candidates Forum at the Deep River Plantation Club House in High Point at 6:30 p.m.

• Thursday: Republican US House District 6 candidate Jeff Phillips will appear at the Davidson County Republican Convention from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• Friday: Democratic US Senate candidate Cal Cunningham will appear at a reception in his honor at the home of George and Shirley Carr, located at 2310 Princess Ann St. in Greensboro, at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $250. Contact John Gardner at 336.248.2010 or john@calfornc.com to RSVP.

• Friday: Democratic US House District 5 candidate Billy Kennedy will appear at an event hosted by the Iredell County Democratic Party at Mulligans at Fox Den Country Club, located at 175 Country Club Drive in Statesville, at 6:30 p.m.

• Saturday: Republican US House District 6 candidate James Taylor will appear at the Rowan County Republican Convention at 2 p.m.

• March 29: Democratic Rep. Mel Watt will hold a town-hall meeting at the Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, located at 1215 N. Cameron Ave., from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

• March 30: Democratic Rep. Mel Watt will hold a town-hall meet at Allen Middle School, located at 1108 Glendale Drive in Greensboro, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
