GREENSBORO TO HOLD BUSINESS SUMMIT
Monitoring the economic pulse of the Triad
The city of Greensboro will host a business summit at the Coliseum Special Events Center at 8 a.m. on Feb. 17. Among the purposes of the summit, an idea hatched by District 5 Councilwoman Trudy Wade, is to hold small-group discussions on how small-business assistance from the city can best serve the business community. Following a welcome by Mayor Bill Knight, participants will hear about local, state and federal government assistance and a proposed Small Business Service Office. The Chamber of Commerce, the Nussbaum Center, Self-Help Credit Union and East Market Street Development Corp., among other groups, will be represented at the summit.Hungry for more news?
