Outdoor supply store opens in Winston-Salem
Smitty’s Notes, the Winston-Salem web newsletter, reports that Recycled Outdoor Gear has recently opened in the city’s West End neighborhood. The consignment store’s website describes Recycled Outdoor Gear as “an outdoor/adventure gear consignment store carrying soft & hard goods, some of which will be kayaks, canoes, camping equipment, bikes, fly fishing, climbing gear, clothing for adults and kids, outdoor gear for dogs, reading material and tons of accessories/sidelines, etc.” Located at 480 West End Blvd., the store is across the street from Hanes Park. The proprietors say they are installing a bouldering wall in the 6,000 square foot space whose walls have been painted with outdoor murals.
