Randy Bishop — guitarist, store owner

It’s been years since YES! Weekly Editor Brian Clarey worked with this week’s Page Three model, Randy Bishop, at the now defunct Trilogy restaurant in Greensboro. In that time, Clarey has gone bald and Randy has grown his white mane out to Johnny Winter-like proportions. He’s also realized a personal dream: opening his own guitar shop. Krazy Dog Music (www.krazydogmusic.com) is located in High Point’s Oak Hollow Mall. And its proprietor, who in the 1970s played locally with Larry Grubbs and Casey Hazelman in a cover band called the Red Riders, says it’s different from most guitar shops. “It’s kinda tailored towards professional musicians,” he says, “npot the beginner so much. After the first of the year we’re gonna use the stage at the mall for clinics and maybe some light jams. But that’s gonna be after Christmas, dude, ‘cause Santa’s there now.”
