Late night withdrawal
An armed suspect approached Christopher Henderson, an employee of TJ’s Deli, in the 5000 block of Country Club Road around 11 p.m. on Sunday and demanded money. Henderson told Winston-Salem police that he left the deli and was approached by a black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes, who stole the bank deposit bag and ordered Henderson back inside the deli to remove more money. The man then ordered Henderson to give him a ride in his silver/grey 2006 Mazda Tribute SUV. At the intersection of Peacehaven Road and Aquadale Lane, the suspect ordered Henderson to get out of his car, and the suspect drove off. The license plate of the vehicle is: SSR-8140. Known to victim
Winston-Salem police officers responded to a stabbing call in the 2900 block of New Walkertown Road around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. Police arrived to find Johnny Lamont Barnes, 29, who had been stabbed in the left upper chest. Barnes told police officers that he and a black man he knows got into a dispute over money, which led to the stabbing. Barnes was transported to Baptist Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 336.727.2800.
Arrest made in First Citizens robberies
Detectives with the Winston- Salem Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division arrested Anthony Artist McAllister on Sunday and charged him the armed rob- bery of the First Citizens Bank in the 1900 block of Peacehaven Road on two separate occasions. On Aug. 25, a black male suspect entered the bank branch and dis- played a knife. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot. On Sept. 29, a masked suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. McAllister was arrested without incident and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon for the Aug. 25 robbery. McAllister was charged with common law robbery for the Sept. 29 incident. McAllister, 26, was taken to the Forsyth County Jail and placed under a $100,000 bond. His court date is set for Oct. 23.
Taco Bell employees robbed
Greensboro police arrested Brandy Fewell, 19; Jasmyn Weddington, 19; Kristopher Lowery, 17; and Alexander Shaw, 17, on Sunday and charged them with armed robbery and conspiracy after an incident outside the Taco Bell in the 4800 block of West Market Street earlier that night. Police reports indicate that several of the restaurant’s employees were closing the business when they were approached by two unknown black male suspects wearing ski masks and armed with rifles. The suspects were able to obtain a handbag and several bags containing personal items from the victims. The suspects then fled the area in a silver Honda Accord in a western direction on Market Street. Shortly after the incident, officers observed the suspect vehicle and initiated a vehicle stop. All four of the suspects were identified and charged. The ski masks and rifles used in the robbery were located in the vehicle, as well as the victim’s belongings.
