Linda Pickard Speed speller
This week’s Page Three model, Linda Pickard, has an unusual talent. “I’m a speed speller,” she says, which means she can communicate in sentences by using the letters of the words she wants to say — foe xample, she can spell the Pledge of Allegiance in less than a minute. “It freaks people out,” she says. “People think I’m talking in a different language.” For her abilities she has been archived by Ripley’s Believe It or Not, been featured on Roy’s Folks and even got a nibble from “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” But because she says she can’t figure out a way to make money with her unique skill, she has a day job as the owner of X-Treme Fear haunted forest (www.x-tremefear.com), which opens for business Oct. 2. New this year is the TerrorVator, which we hope we spelled correctly.
