Aquatic center lands ACC swimming and diving championships
The Greensboro Aquatic Center will be the site of the 2013, 2014 and 2016 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships, the conference announced on Monday. Coliseum Director Matt Brown said when the aquatic center, which opened in August, was conceived one of the first objectives was to make it a home for ACC swimming and diving championships, adding to “a long and storied tradition” of working with the conference. The 2012 swimming and diving championships will be held in Blacksburg, Va., while 2015 events are designated for Atlanta. The Greensboro Coliseum will also host the 2012-2015 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournaments and the 2013-2015 Men’s Basketball Tournaments.
