Charles French — personal stylist/waste disposal worker

Charles French, a Greensboro native, is passionate about his work. French is the owner of Total Image Menswear and has been working to improve the images of sartorially unaware men for the past 12 years. “I like teaching men how to dress themselves,” French says. “Your image is important.” French got his start working in a retail store and was moved to entrepreneurial pursuits after customers told him he needed to do his “own thing,” French says. He has done custom work for NFL clients, local pastors and attorneys, and international work from London to Singapore and China. “The personal reward is the education part,” French says. What’s even more interesting is that French, also a former marine, works full time for the city of Greensboro as waste disposal personnel with hopes of being able to live off of his work in menswear. “Men’s fashion is my passion,” he says. French does not currently operate a shop but is available through appointment only. For more information, call 336.254.0598 or visit totalimagemenswear.com.
