Valeria Osipova AKA Valeria Sweet — student/Best Facebooker

How does one get to be the Triad’s Best Facebooker? In the case of this year’s winner, 22-year-old UNCG student Valeria Osipova, who goes by the handle Valeria Sweet, it’s not strictly about content. Valeria posts just about every day with updates to her 1,500 or so Facebook friends, but she also campaigned for the title. “You got to,” she says. Valeria spent her childhood in Kazan, in the European part of the USSR before moving to North Carolina at age 12, and she says the concept of “friend” is different here. “In Russia people don’t treat every person they meet as a friend — they are very selective. Here everyone you meet can become you best friend very quickly, and in Russia, time proves friendship. Facebook is a unique way of approaching friendship. On Facebook, I want to get to know people. I don’t want acquaintances; I want lasting friendships.”

This girl is so ridiculous.  She claims she knows all 2,000 of her friends personally, when really all she does is add people and post pictures and status' begging for attention.  Does this really qualify for such a ridiculous title of "best facebooker"

You be amazed at how many people she does know tool bag.

Ditto @ the toolbag comment. Valeria pretty much DOES know everyone.

I actually have known Valeria since high school. She is one of the sweetest, most unique people you could meet. She's always put alot of effort into getting to know everyone around her. If anyone deserved to win this, it is her. Stop hating and be happy for other's succuesses, maybe you will end up with more friends too.

Eyes that allure and shape her humility, do not be awed or intimidated by her shine or lose the opportunity to share in her inclusive  aura.  Make her laugh and part with a smile.  Listen earnestly and learn she earnestly listens. Appreciate when you have found a timeless moment, and have the will to leave at risk of never finding it again. This is what makes it timeless.
