Grants and loans available to W-S businesses for property upgrades
Neighborhood associations, community development corporations, merchants associations and businesses are invited to submit proposals to the city of Winston-Salem development office for the opportunity to receive matching assistance grants of up to $40,000 to make improvements to their facades and grounds. As much as 50 percent of assistance may be provided as a low-interest loan with the additional amount structured as a forgivable loan through the city’s Revitalizing Urban Commercial Areas, according to a city press release.
