The NC Dance Festival will present a free modern jazz class taught by Duane Cyrus, Artistic Director of Cyrus Art Production. The open level class is offered on November 4, 2009 from 7:30-9:00pm in Studio 323 at the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 North Davie Street in downtown Greensboro. The community master class is part of the outreach program sponsored by the North Carolina Dance Festival. Festival concerts will open in Aycock Auditorium at UNC Greensboro on November 6-7, at 8:00pm each night. Duane Cyrus, Director of Cyrus Art Production, is Assistant Professor at UNCG. He holds a BFA from the Juilliard School and an MFA from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. He has performed with the Martha Graham Dance Company, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and in the original London production of The Lion King.
