NC Dance Festival

The nineteenth season of the North Carolina Dance Festival will open at UNCG on Friday, November 6 and run through Saturday, November 7 with a different show each night. The concert will be held in Aycock Auditorium on Tate Street. All concerts will begin at 8:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the UNCG box office (call 334 4849); prices will be $15.00 for adults, $12.00 for students and seniors and $9.00 for UNCG students. Group tickets can also be purchased for $6.00/ticket with a group of 10 or more. On Friday night, works by Eleanor Smith (Raleigh), Cyrus Art Production (Greensboro), Even Exchange Dance Theater (Raleigh), and Kinetic Works Dance (Charlotte) will be featured. Local artist Helen Simoneau (Winston-Salem) will also perform on Friday night. Saturday’s concert will showcase dances by Kim Jones (Charlotte), Natalie Marrone (Raleigh), Joan Nicholas-Walker and Courtney Greer (Raleigh, and Cindy Mancini (Rocky Mount). Local artist and NCDF Artistic Director Jan Van Dyke’s Van Dyke Dance Group (Greensboro) will also perform in Saturday’s concert.
