Free to Breathe%uFFFD Lung Cancer 5K

A group of dedicated survivors, advocates and healthcare professionals formed the first National Lung Cancer Partnership Chapter. They organized the first Free to Breathe%uFFFD event in Raleigh in 2007 to raise awareness and research funding for lung cancer. In 2008, the Triad inaugural event was added to the Free to Breathe%uFFFD lineup. Please join the second annual Free to Breathe%uFFFD Lung Cancer 5K in the Triad. Similar events will also be held in Raleigh and in Boone. Help raise awareness and research funding for lung cancer by joining or donating to one or all of these events! What: Free to Breathe%uFFFD 5K and 1 Mile Run, Walk and Rally When: November 14, 2009 7:30-9:00am - Event Day Registration 7:45-8:15am - Survivors’ Breakfast 8:00-9:00am - Rally with speakers, music, food and entertainment 9:00am - 1 Mile Run/Walk Begins 9:30am - 5K Run/Walk Begins 10:30am - Kids' Dash for children 6 and under Following the 5K, there will be speakers, awards, entertainment and music. Where: Off of Grandover Parkway 4512 Weybridge Lane Greensboro, NC 27407 Registration Fees/Deadlines: Online (closes November 11, 2009): $20 Recreational 5K and 1 Mile $25 Competitive 5K Mail-In (closes November 9, 2009): $23 Recreational 5K and 1 Mile $28 Competitive 5K Registration at Packet Pick-Up on November 13 and Event Day on November 14: $25 Recreational 5K and 1 Mile $30 Competitive 5K The Kids' Dash is free for children 6 and under. Survivor Registration: FREE registration and shirt for lung cancer survivors when pre-registered online by November 11 or by mail by November 9. Registration form and signed waiver form are required. Your shirt can be picked up when checking-in at the North Carolina Lung Cancer Partnership Survivors' Tent. There is no need to visit the registration tent!
