Sunday in the Park - August

Center City Park will host “Sundays in the Park” on August 30, 2009 from 2:00 – 5:00pm. Pack a picnic and bring the entire family to the park and we’ll provide an afternoon of music and family fun! Musical performances will be provided by teen band the Hot Pink Flamingos and Brazilian band Latin Rio. Latin Rio is a four piece band who plays the unique sounds of Samba, Bossanova, Reggae and Brazilian Pop. Stylish and energetic, Hot Pink Flamingos perform Island tunes that make you feel like your at the beach. For more information on both bands, visit www.centercitypark.org. In addition to music and children’s activities, costumed characters from the Greensboro Historical Museum will mingle with Park visitors to bring to life the Museum’s “5 by O. Henry” play series, which will be presented the second and third weekends in September.
