Sundays in the Park - July

Details:

Center City Park will host its “Sundays in the Park” event on July 26, 2009 from 2:00 – 5:00pm.  Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy an afternoon in the park with friends and family.

 

Fire, police and emergency responders will be at the park providing safety and prevention tips for children and families.  The Fire Department will feature Flame & Ember, the fire safety clown and Dalmatian, as well as a fire truck.

 

Afternoon music will be provided by John Goose and Robin Doby and the Stovepipes.  John Goose is an acoustic-guitar performer who sings with in a smooth “Jack Johnson”/”Coffeehouse” style.  Robin Doby and the Stovepipes are a Greensboro based blues, soul and beyond jazz band.  Its members have performed with numerous R&B and blues artists, including the Chairmen of the Board, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, the Four Tops and more.
