Sundays in the Park

Center City Park will host the second “Sundays in the Park” event on June 28, 2009 from 2:00 – 5:00pm, sponsored by WUNC.Bring the entire family and experience an afternoon of music by the High Lonesome Strings Band’s Rough Cut and Crusher Run.In addition to bands, crafts and children’s activities, Sunday in the Park will spotlight the Natural Science Center as the community resource of the month.

Rough Cut will perform at 2:00pm followed by Crusher Run at 3:30pm.The central North Carolina band Rough Cut is comprised of five friends with bluegrass roots.They play a mix of bluegrass and pop covers and like to play to the audience that will dance and clap along!Crusher Run is a bluegrass, country and folk band from Winston Salem.

The Natural Science Center will feature storytelling, fossils, animal skins and more for you and your family to explore.Weather permitting the Natural Science Center will also feature live animals.For more information on The Natural Science Center, Sundays in the Park and Center City Park, visit www.centercitypark.org.
