Drawn Together

In 2003 tape artist Michael Townsend used a cherry picker, some volunteers, and rolls and rolls and rolls of green tape to turn the Weatherspoon Art Museum into a work of community art. Townsend is coming back to Greensboro this year and bringing even more tape with the same sense of community, collaboration, and healing through art. Only this time, his canvas will be much bigger. Look for more of Townsend's work at this year's tape art installation entitled Drawn Together- 2014 in celebration of ArtBeat Greensboro 2009. This year's project is created and funded by Weatherspoon Art Museum, in collaboration with Downtown Greensboro Inc., and Elsewhere Artist Collaborative.
