entertainment complex. Located at 875 W. Northwest BLVD. Downtown Winston
Salem, Platinum Nightlife is a state of the art 7500 SQ FT event and entertainment
complex which includes a VIP area with a VIP lounge, two fully stocked bars, large
restrooms, dance floor, sectioned off seating, valet parking, several televisions, and a
stage for live performances and DJ entertainment. Developed by local businessman
Norwood King, Jr., who has over 20 years of entertainment, sales, marketing, and
advertising experience. Our goal is to bring Winston Salem and surrounding areas a
different type of night life experience, said King. Due to the lack of quality
entertainment in the Winston-Salem area, we are positioning ourselves to become a major
player in producing quality entertainment in the Winston Salem and the surrounding
areas.
We will never market Platinum Nightlife as a night club, said King. Always an event and
entertainment complex. This will allow our organization to be versatile and looked upon
as a multi-purpose facility. Although the night club part of the business is our bread and
butter, we offer Platinum Nightlife to be used for birthday parties, wedding receptions,
reunions, corporate, sports, and church events.
This week Platinum Nightlife will officially grand open with a host of top notch events,
starting with Thursday April 30, 2009 with Nick Lewis and Marvin Dixon performing
live stand up comedy. Both comedians has national credits such as HBO's Def Comedy
Jam, BET's Comicview, BET's Somebodies, Bad Boys of Comedy, and the Tom Joyner
Morning Show. The Chocolate City Comedy Tour will be a great night of live
entertainment for the triads thrill seekers. Friday May 1st, 2009 will be a night to
remember. "Slick Rick: The Ruler" will grace the triad with his presences as he hosts,
"Platinum Nightlife's Red Carpet Grand Opening Celebration. Saturday May 2nd, 2009
will be a "Platinum Weekend Affair." Saturday's events at Platinum Nightlife have
proven to be the place to be on every Saturday night. To close out the Grand Opening
weekend events, Platinum Nightlife will host the Black Velvet lounge Reunion Grand
Finale (a black and white tie affair) Sunday May 3rd, 2009.
