Where I got it: I got the name back in 7 th grade
from one of my boys when we started a rap group. You
know I was the DJ, right?

Education: Graduated in 2000 from NC State
University with a BS in business management.
What I play: Hip hop/R&B/reggae/pop/house/ rock

(Raleigh), Sin City (Raleigh), N Club (Greensboro)

Got in the game: I was a bedroom DJ back in ’89 and developed my skill
say that started my professional career.
Why I do it: I love music, period. The saxophone was my thing throughout
school, but when I got to college I got into campus radio and started doing parties
for different organizations. I just like to see people having fun.
Influences: DJ Polo, DJ K-Nyce, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Grandmaster Flash
Your first professional gig: In 1996, downtown Wilmington at the Skybar
Favorite technique: Transitions and selections.... gotta know what to play,
when to play it, and how to play it!
What you listen to outside of the club: Everything I have to play
in the clubs and on the radio plus more

I’d like to add: I’ve made multiple appearances on BET’s “Rap City” on the
famous “Throwback Thursday” episode in 2005. I’ve also done shows for Diddy,
Young Jeezy, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Outkast and many more.
