CORRECTION

A story in the Nov. 12 issue of YES! Weekly, “Armed robberies stun Wake Forest campus,” erroneously reported that two male Wake Forest students were robbed at gunpoint on Nov. 6. On Nov. 11, Wake Forest University police informed university officials and Winston-Salem police their investigation revealed the robbery never occurred. The students told Wake Forest police they were robbed the morning of Nov. 6 by a man armed with a handgun as they ran on a paved path that leads from the university’s Reynolda Campus to Reynolda Village. The matter has been referred to the university’s Office of the Dean of Students for appropriate action. Investigations by university police and Winston-Salem police into two other armed robbery incidents involving Wake Forest students in recent weeks are ongoing, according to the Wake Forest University News Service.
