DO NOT EAT HERE!! I'd been to Tequila Joe's once before and it was ok, so I went back and took some friends. THE most disappointing restaurant experience EVER. The serivice was HORRIBLE. There was ONE other table of two when we arrived. Our server came over, asked for our drink order, took 10 minutes to get it back to us and we then had to ask for menus. She said, "oh, you need menus?" DUH. We ordered and got our salsa and chips. The salsa was brought to us in what looked to be a used bowl. For a table of three adult men, there was MAYBE an ounce of drying salsa. Sent it back, got a "fresh" bowl. Our meals came out...the rice was undercooked, IF cooked at all. My enchiladas were so tough that I could barely cut them with a knife. The sour cream that was on top of the enchiladas tasted completely spoiled. On member of my party asked to speak to a manager, very nicely mind you. Well, this guy comes to our table with a MAJOR attitude and says.."What's the problem?" We tell him that we just aren't very satisfied with the quality of food or service (went into details) and that we were just going to go somewhere else to have dinner. Again, we were very nice about it. He proceeds to act as though we caused the problem, making excuses that the server was new (she wasn't, I saw her last time I was there) and that they cooked the rice that way so that it wouldn't be "mushy" and that it tasted good. He also stated that he, himself just cleaned all the salsa bowls (he didn't, because he had been standing in the bar area the entire time) and that he KNEW it wasn't used. He never tried to make right the situation, never said "I'm sorry, is there anything I can do?" NOTHING. On the way out, we asked if there was another manager to whom we could speak. Well, turns out he is co-owner! WHAT?? Why would a restaurant owner treat customers in that manner? So, I recommend going ANYWHERE but Tequila Joe's to have a meal! Oh, we ended up going to Taco Bell, and it was FAR better than this place!
